Carpazi
A medium-grained granite in warm red-brown tones with an earthy, multi-layered palette. Carpazi is a granite of complex, polychrome colour: no single tone dominates; instead there is a whole symphony of shades — warm rust-red, greyish brown, beige and dark green — interwoven through the stone’s medium-grained body. The pattern recalls a mountain landscape in miniature — chaotic at first glance, but in fact balanced.
Carpazi looks especially expressive across large areas of external cladding: as the angle of light changes, the colour transitions take on new accents, the stone ‘comes alive’ and grows richer. Thermal treatment brings the warm earth tones further forward and puts the texture of the grain on show. It works alongside natural materials — timber, brick, Corten steel — in architecture built on organic quality and a connection to its setting.
A density of 2,670 kg/m³ and compressive strength of 225 MPa combine with a low abrasion of 0.26 g/cm². Flexural strength 19 MPa. Water absorption 0.55%. Ideal for facades, window sills, countertops and landscape design elements.
